Long Chamber Close up on High Sensitivity Vacuum Decay Leak Test System for Airbag Inflators Square chamber close up on High Sensitivity Vacuum Decay Leak Test System for Airbag Inflators

A leading manufacturer of automotive and airbag components required a leak test system to detect leaks that would allow moisture ingression into their airbag inflator. Their current helium leak test method required helium injection into the part, but the customer required a system that would eliminate the need for helium.

To achieve the reliability and cycle time of a helium leak testing system in a production environment without using helium, we engineered a custom leak test system with a patent-pending high sensitivity vacuum decay leak test method. Utilizing the AURA Multi-Test platform, this system featured open-style calibrated leak standard for calibration and verification.
