A manufacturer of high-pressure cylinders required a fully automated leak test system for airbag inflators. The customer required fully automatic loading and unloading of multiple part models and sizes, a low leak rate reject limit, and a high throughput rate.
We engineered a fully automated, high volume production leak test system for gas-filled airbag inflators using the helium hard vacuum leak test method. Featuring multiple chambers and a robotic pick-and-place material handling system, this leak test system automated part sorting and marking, feed and exit conveyors, and universal grippers for different part models.
