A leader in energy technology required a turnkey leak test system allowing for easy loading and unloading of large battery packs. The system utilizes a sniffer probe to detect helium in an air sample with a helium mass spectrometer leak detector.
LACO custom engineered a system with a mobile cart that can roll the battery packs into the chamber, create a seal during the leak testing process, and roll the packs out of the chamber for the next phase of manufacturing. We manufactured a single leak test system with 5 mobile carts allowing for faster throughput.
