The Force Decay Leak Test Method is an innovative way of detecting leaks in sealed flexible products or packaging. By applying pressure to the flexible surface and measuring the change in pressure through a force gauge, we can indirectly measure the leak rate. This method can be used to detect very large leaks as well as leaks down to the range of 1 sccm. Inflation of the product can be achieved by sandwiching the product between two surfaces or by placing the product in a vacuum chamber.

Applications and industries include pharmaceutical and medical, packaged food, beverage, and chemical products, ink jet cartridge packaging, sealed ballistic body armor, and any other product or packaging that is sealed and flexible.
